Summary: | The present utility model relates to a method of applying a finishing material for fabrics comprising the steps of: impregnating a fabric with the finishing material by exhaustion at a fabric weight (g) to liquor (ml) ratio range of 1:5-20, wherein fabric impregnation is accompanied by mechanical perturbation at time period ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 hours; extracting excess finishing material from the impregnated fabric via a squeeze roller machine to obtain a wet pick-up between a weight ratio of 70-100 pcnt , wherein the weight ratio is obtained by dividing the weight difference of the fabric before and after impregnation with the original fabric weight prior to impregnation; drying the obtained wet pick-up using an oven at 60-100 øC for a duration ranging from 2-30 minutes; curing the dried pick-up at 101-180øC using the oven for a duration ranging from 2-30 minutes to obtain a finished fabric; and washing the finished fabric at least once with distilled water to remove unreacted reagents. The method of the present utility model is applied to fabrics of natural fibers, natural fiber blends, and natural/synthetic fiber hybrid blends with =50 pcnt cellulose content. |
