Summary: | The present utility model discloses the formulation of producing larvicide for killing mosquito larvae before turning to an adult biting mosquito causing dengue using plurality of leaves of lemon grass (Cymbopogoncitratus) and sugar apple (Annonasquamosa) comprising the materials of 40 pcnt lemon grass; 40 pcnt sugar apple; 20 pcnt aqueous solvent; an electronic weighing scale; sets of mortar and pestle; strainers; funnels; and storage containers, respectively. Essential oils of Annonasquamosa, cedrene and caryophyllene and Cymbopogoncitratus, citral and geramoil contents are highly insect repellent ingredients due to their relative low toxicity, comparable efficacy, and customer approval. Utilizing this commodity into one way or another preparation and presentation is thereof a welcome move. |
