Summary:Proposed is a novel method for manufacturing a granular sintered raw material wherein steam is used during granulation to manufacture a heated granular sintered raw material, which is effective in improving permeability and enables improvement in the productivity of sintered ore in cases where this granular sintered raw material is introduced into a sintering machine. In the proposed method for manufacturing a granular sintered raw material, when a sintered blended raw material, in which a carbon material and/or an auxiliary material in addition to iron ore powder are blended, is granulated in a granulating machine, water vapor is blown into the granulating machine, thereby producing a granular sintered raw material having a temperature of at least 10øC higher than the temperature of the sintered blended raw material prior to being loaded into the granulating machine.
