Disclosed is a method for a user/staff member in a system to acquire a mail box account, comprising: according to the work content of a role in a system associating a role nature mail box account for the role, wherein in the same time period, one role can be associated with only one role nature mail box account, and one role nature mail box account can be associated with only one role; and the role is an independent individual but not a group/category, in the same time period, one role can be associated with only one user, and one user can be associated with one or more roles; and establishing an association relation between users and roles, and for any user, using a role nature mail box account associated with all the roles associated with the user as the role nature mail box account of the user and/or a staff member corresponding to the user. In the present invention while a job is allocated to a staff member, a corresponding role nature mail box account is also allocated thereto. There is no need to separately allocate a role nature mail box account for the staff member, reducing the workload of mail box allocation.
