Summary:A system for generating breathable gas for the treatment of a respiratory disorder, comprising: a respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device configured to generate a flow of breathable gas at a pressure above ambient, and an external battery comprising a facia and one or more battery cells, wherein the facia is configured to removably connect to the RPT device, wherein the RPT device and the external battery comprise guiding members to facilitate alignment, connection and disconnection, and wherein the facia comprises an air inlet, and/or an air outlet, structured and or arranged such that when the external battery is connected to the RPT device the air inlet and/or air outlet extend an air path of the RPT device.
