Summary: | A patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a continuously positive pressure with respect to ambient air pressure to an entrance to a patient's airways, comprising a seal forming structure (3100) formed from an air impermeable textile material. The seal forming structure comprises a flexible membrane and an opening (3101) to direct the flow of air to the patient's airways. The interface is characterised by having a mesh structure (3102) integrated with the seal forming structure at the opening. The invention provides a patient interface with a mesh structure that can act as a filter for particulate matter or a heat and moisture exchanging (HME) material that absorbs heat and moisture from gas exhaled by the patient, which is then transferred to the flow of pressurized gas as it travels to the patient's airways during inhalation. |
