Summary:A method of monitoring fluid conditions in an access chamber (105) to a pipe network and a monitoring system (100) for an access chamber (105) to a pipe network are disclosed. The monitoring system (100) comprises at least one sensor (130) for determining a fluid condition associated with fluid in a conduit (110) of the pipe network; at least one threshold level indicator (125) for determining a threshold fluid level in the access chamber (105), a wireless transceiver (120) and a controller. The at least one threshold level indicator (125) is associated with the at least one sensor (130). The controller is for receiving output signals from the at least one sensor (130) and the at least one threshold level indicator (125) and for controlling supply of power to the at least one sensor (130). The wireless transceiver is in communication with the controller to allow the controller to communicate with a remote server over a communications network. The controller is arranged to supply power to the at least one sensor (130) in response to receiving an output signal from the at least one threshold level indicator (125) indicative of the fluid level having exceeded the threshold fluid level. A management system and a management method are also disclosed. The management system comprises a plurality of the above described monitoring systems (100) and a server arranged to receive data associated with sensed fluid conditions from the wireless telemetry units of respective monitoring systems (100) via a wireless network.
