Summary: | Disclosed is a method of installing a support structure required to be installed in a sea or river bed (SB). The method includes constructing the support structure, anchoring the support structure to a sea or river bed (SB) by anchoring piles, and providing a temporary superstructure (12) at the top of the support structure. The support structure is constructed to be temporarily self-standing on the sea or river bed (SB) prior to and throughout carrying out of operations required to permanently anchor the support structure to the sea or river bed (SB). The temporary superstructure (12) is located above water level (WL) and carries lifting and positioning means (13) for installing the anchoring piles. Further disclosed is a structure for use in such a method. |
