Summary:Abstract - 607003 Disclosed herein is a hydroxyapatite comprising calcium ions and phosphate ions in a crystal lattice, characterized in that it is doped with Fe2+ ions and Fe3+ ions, which partially substitute said calcium ions in said crystal lattice in a quantitative ratio Fe3+/Fe2+ of 1 to 4, has magnetism of 0.05 to 8emu/g, measured by applying a magnetic field of 34Oe, due to the presence of magnetic nano-domains in the lattice of hydroxyapatite, and comprises an amount of secondary magnetic phases below about 3 vol%.
