Summary:Disclosed is a method of stabilizing a fluid-based suspension comprising a hydrophobic silica by adding an amphiphilic of amphipathic compound to the suspension. Examples of amphiphilic substances are polyoxyethylated compounds, fluoroquinolone, enrofloxacin, pradofloxacin and marbofloxacin. Also disclosed is a medicament comprising as oil base, an active ingredient, hydrophobic silica and a polyoxyethylate compound at a concentration of 0.001 - 0.15 per cent by weight.
