Summary:Disclosed is an injectable depot pharmaceutical formulation comprising: a) a pharmaceutically effective amount of ziprasidone free base or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is in the form of nanoparticles having an average particle size of less than about 2000 nm; b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; and c) at least two surface stabilizers; wherein at least one of the surface stabilizers is adsorbed on the surface of the nanoparticles, and wherein the combined amount of the surface stabilizers is effective to maintain the average particle size of the nanoparticles.
