Summary:A bone plate is disclosed which comprises a monolithic plate body having an upper surface and a lower surface, and at least one hole extending through the monolithic plate body from the upper surface to the lower surface. The hole includes three regions, including first, second, and third regions, separated from one another along a length of the hole. The first and third regions of the hole are non-threaded, and the second middle region of the hole, which is between the first and third regions, is threaded. The threaded second region is configured and dimensioned to lock a mating fastener within the hole at an angle relative to a central axis of the hole.
