Summary:A compound of formula (I) wherein: B is alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkyl-alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, heteroaryl, heteroaryl-alkyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, hydroxy, cyano, trifluoromethyl, nitro, hydroxycarbonyl, alkoxy, alkoxy-alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, alkoxy-alkoxy, arylalkylcarbonyl, alkanoylamino, alkylsulfonylamino, arylsulfonylamino, alkylamino, di-(alkyl)amino, alkylsulfonyl, aminosylfonyl, arylsulfonyl, aryl-alkylsulfonyl, aryl or heteroaryl, where all B residues are independent of one another, or B denotes an aromatic or non-aromatic ring system that is fused to the 6-membered ring containing the groups G and Z; D is C(O)NH, where this divalent residue is bonded to the E group via its nitrogen atom; E is the residue shown in formula (II); G is CH; X is H; Y is H; Z is N; R1 is alkyl, phenyl, napthyl or benzyl possibly substituted one, two or three times by identical or different substituents from the series consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy and aryl; R2 is C(O)R5; and s is 0. Also claimed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising said compound, and the use of said compound in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of a patient in need of a vitronectin receptor antagonist, for inhibiting bone resorption, for treating osteoporosis, for inhibiting tumour growth, treating inflammation, treating a cardiovascular disorder, preventing restinoses, treating arteriosclerosis, treating nephropathies, treating retinopathies, treating psoriasis, and treating rheumatoid arthritis.
