Summary: | Patent 501096 The co-extruded electronic cutting film comprises: a) A core layer comprising polyolefin, the core layer having a calliper ranging from 50% to 80% of the electronic cutting film calliper and having opposing major surfaces; b) An abrasion resistant layer comprising an ionomeric resin, the abrasion resistant layer having a calliper ranging from 5% to 25% of the electronic cutting film calliper and being co-extruded on one major surface of the core layer; and c) An adhesive priming layer, the adhesive priming layer having a calliper ranging from 5% to 30% of the electronic cutting film calliper and being co-extruded on an opposing major surface of the core layer. Also described is a method of making the co-extruded electronic cutting film, comprising the steps of: a) Feeding three extrudable resins into a die having three slits; b) Co-extruding the three resins through the die to form the co-extruded electronic cutting film Also described is a method of using the co-extruded electronic cutting film, comprising the steps of: a) Cutting the film into a desired pattern; b) Placing the film on a substrate; and c) Removing undesired film from the pattern. |
