Summary:1497683 Antifouling coatings for marine use BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 24 March 1976 [14 April 1975] 15202/75 Headings C3B and C3P A film is made from a copolymer of an acrylic acid ester and an acrylic acid salt of a metal having anti-fouling properties, the ratio of ester to salt being at least 60 : 40 molar. An anti-fouling paint, comprises a filmforming binder and a non-film forming polyacrylate salt of a metal having anti-fouling properties. The metal may be Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Mu, Sn, or Hg. A suitable binder is an epoxy coal tar resin.
