Summary:A new method for optical band-pass filters using macro bending approach is proposed. The proposed optical Band-pass filter leverages on bending loss of higher order modes for shorter wavelengths. It is designed in a way that combines the properties of optical low pass and high pass filter into a single filter. The loss at shorter wavelength is provided by fiber bending of multimode propagation of light which is optimized by fiber numerical aperture and fiber core diameter.
