A dual-bearing reel (10) comp1ises a reel unit (12), a spool (16), a rotation detector (19), a moving member (20), a spool actuator. a cooperative actuating mechanism (26), mid a spool controller (28). The spool (16) is for winding the fishing line, mid is rotatably mounted to the reel unit (12). The rotation detector (19) detects a rotational position about an axis. The moving member (20) is rotatable about the axis, and the rotational position is a position of the moving member (20). The spool actuator is electrically controllable and performs an action with respect to the spool (16). An operating member (24) is movably mounted to the reel unit (12), and adjusts a state of the spool actuator. The cooperative actuating mechanism (26) rotates the moving member (20) in accordance with a movement of the operating member (24). The spool controller (28) controls the spool actuator based on the rotational position.
