USE OF MULTI-STAGE POLYMERIZATE DISPERSIONS TO COAT METAL SHEETS

The invention relates to the use of aqueous multi-stage polymerizate dispersions, which can be obtained by radically initiated aqueous emulsion polymerization, having a soft phase and a hard phase and a stage ratio of hard to soft of 25 to 95 wt% to 75 to 5 wt%, wherein the glass transition temperat...

Summary:The invention relates to the use of aqueous multi-stage polymerizate dispersions, which can be obtained by radically initiated aqueous emulsion polymerization, having a soft phase and a hard phase and a stage ratio of hard to soft of 25 to 95 wt% to 75 to 5 wt%, wherein the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the soft phase as the first stage is -30 to 0 ?C and the glass transition temperature of the hard phase as the second stage is 20 to 60 ?C, containing at least one monomer of general formula (I) in which the variables have the following meaning: n = 0 to 2, R1, R2, R3 = hydrogen or a methyl group independently of each other, X = 0 or NH, Y = H, alkali metal, NH4, to coat metal sheets.
