In one aspect, an enclosure (2000) is provided that provides inert gas to the atmosphere above the solder storage tank during the soldering of a workpiece (100); this enclosure (2000) comprises a tube (10') proving a fluid connection to an inert gas can flow; a base (2010) located within this tube (10') and having an inner volume (2015); a neck part (2020) having an inner volume (2025) and an opening (2027) that provides fluid communication with the inner volume (2015) of this base (2010); and a cap (2030) adjacent to this opening (2027) provided by the neck part (2020) and cap (2030) upon being introduced into the inner volume via the tube (10') Fig 2a
