La presente invencion se refiere a un material de carbon que tiene grupos organicos, que se puede obtener por la reaccion del material de carbon con los compuestos organicos de la formula general 1: (ver formula (1) Los materiales de carbon de la invencion que tienen grupos organicos son utiles en dispersiones, cauchos, plasticos, tintas, incluyendo tintas llevadas por solventes, tintas llevadas por agua, tintas para impresion por chorro de tinta, pigmentos organicos xerograficos, recubrimientos, pinturas, betun, concreto u otros materiales de construccion, papel o como un agente reductor en metalurgia.
