A Digital Rights Management (DRM) system has a plurality of DRM servers performing DRM functionality and an entering DRM-E server is enrolled into the system by an enrolling DRM-R server such that the entering DRM-E server is to be trusted within the system. The DRM-E server sends an enrollment request to the DRM-R server including a proffering identification and a public key (PU-E). The DRM-R server validates the proffering identification, and, if the request is to be honored, generates a digital enrollment certificate with (PU-E) for the DRM-E server to enroll such DRM-E server into the DRM system. The now-enrolled DRM-E server with the generated enrollment certificate is able to employ same to issue DRM documents within the DRM system. Un sistema de administracion de derechos digitales (DRM) tiene una pluralidad de servidores DRM que llevan a cabo funciones DRM y un servidor DRM-E entrante se inscribe dentro del sistema al inscribir al servidor DRM-R de tal forma que el servidor DRM-E entrante debe estar confiado dentro del sistema. El servidor DRM-E envia una solicitud de inscripcion al servidor DRM-R que incluye una identificacion y una clave publica (PU-E). El servidor DRM-R valida la identificacion y cuando la solicitud se va a autorizar, genera un certificado de inscripcion digital con la (PU-E) para el servidor DRM-E para inscribir al servidor DRM-E dentro del sistema DRM. El ahora servidor DRM-E inscrito con el certificado de inscripcion generado tiene la capacidad de emplear el mismo para emitir documentos DRM dentro del sistema DRM.
