Un catéter intravascular (10, 110) que tiene un cuerpo tubular alargado con una porcion proxima, una porcion distante y un lumen que se extiende entre los mismos. El cuerpo tubular está formado con materiales poliméricos, que preferiblemente no contienen relleno radiopaco, y trenzado metálico de refuerzo (22, 130) configurado para proveer el catéter (10, 110) con propiedades radiopacas y/o resistencia al alabeo.
