Esta invencion se refiere a nuevos procedimientos par ala preparacion del compuesto farmacéuticamente activo 5-(3-[25)-exo-biciclo[2.2.1]hept-2-iloxi]-4-metoxi fenil)-3,4,5,6-tetrahidropirimidin -2(iH)-ona y su enantiomero 2R correspondiente y para la preparacion de ciertos intermedios usados en la síntesis de estos compuestos. Esta también se refiere a nuevos intermedios usados en la síntesis de tales compuestos farmacéuticamente activos y a otros nuevos compuestos que están relacionados con tales intermedios.
