Summary:It is disclosed a method for treating hepatitis B virus infection or hepatitis B virus / hepatitis delta virus co-infection, the method comprising administering to a subject in need of such treatment a first pharmaceutically acceptable agent that comprises at least one phosphorothioated nucleic acid polymer and a second pharmaceutically acceptable agent that comprises at least one nucleoside / nucleotide analog HBV polymerase inhibitor. La presente invención se refiere al uso de una combinación que consiste en un complejo de quelato de al menos un polímero de ácido nucleico de fosforotioato y al menos un nucleósido/nucleótido análogo inhibidor de la polimerasa de VHB para la fabricación de un medicamento útil en el tratamiento de la infección por VHB o VHB/co-infección VHD en un sujeto en ausencia de inmunoterapia.
