La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso adecuado para su adopción en la fabricación a gran escala de oxalato de 1-isopropil-3-{5-[1-(3-metoxipropil)piperidin-4-il]-[1,3,4]oxadia zol-2-il}-1H-indazol de fórmula (I), el cual es un ligando receptor 5-HT4 selectivo dirigido al tratamiento sintomático de la enfermedad de Alzheimer y otros trastornos de la memoria y la cognición como el déficit de atención e hiperactividad, la enfermedad de Parkinson y la esquizofrenia.
