The invention relates to a method for treating or processing containers (2) that can be used for storing, or that contain, substances for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications, said containers being automatically guided past or passing through at least one processing station by means of a conveyor device, for the purpose of treatment or processing. In said method, a plurality of containers (2) are conveyed by the conveyor device while being held together on a carrier (25; 134) in a regular arrangement. The containers held on the carrier are lifted for treatment or processing into a raised position on or in the processing station in question, and then lowered again following treatment or processing so as to be held on the carrier in the regular arrangement. The carrier is designed such that the containers can be held thereupon throughout the entire method. A negative pressure preferably acts on the bases of the containers in order to lower them. Se expone un proceso para el tratamiento o procesamiento de envases (2) que sirven para almacenar o contener sustancias destinadas a aplicaciones médicas, farmacéuticas o cosméticas, en donde los envases se transportan de manera automática, por medio de un transportador, pasan por lo menos por una estación de procesamiento o pasan para el tratamiento o procesamiento. En el proceso, una pluralidad de envases (2) es transportada por el transportador mientras es sostenida por un portador (25; 134) en una configuración regular. Los envases sostenidos en el portador se suben a una posición elevada para el tratamiento o procesamiento en la respectiva estación de procesamiento y se bajan después del tratamiento o procesamiento, para que nuevamente sean sostenidos en el portador en la configuración regular. El portador está configurado de tal manera que los envases pueden estar sostenidos en el portador durante todo el proceso. De preferencia, una presión negativa actúa sobre la parte inferior de los envases para bajarlos.
