Summary:The aim of the invention is to increase the product yield of protein in a microbial fermentation process. Said aim is achieved by means of a method in which an expression construct is introduced into a microorganism of the species Bacillus pumilus, which expression construct comprises a promoter and a nucleic acid that codes for the protein, and the protein is expressed in said expression construct. La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir una proteína por medio de un microorganismo que comprende; (a) introducir una construcción de expresión en un microorganismo que comprende un promotor y un ácido nucleico que codifica para la proteína; (b) expresar la proteína en el microorganismo, en donde el microorganismo pertenece a la especie Bacillus pumilus; y en donde el microorganismo es de esporulación inhibida como un resultado dela supresión del gen spoIV (yqfD) o partes del mismo.
