Summary: | The present invention relates to in vitro culture compositions for obtaining erythrocytes parasitized with Babesia spp. Said composition comprises i) a basal culture medium free of serum and animal protein with a supplement of a lipid concentrate and a mixture of C14-C20 carbon fatty acids. Also, it improves the performance of the infection percentage of antiparasitic erythrocytes of the Babesia Bovis and Babesia Bigemina genus. Further, the compositions are useful for obtaining novel cell lines of said parasites with the ability to proliferate in a serum-free and animal protein-free medium, for multiplication and transfer conditions on industrial scales.
