Production process of a self-sealing tyre (1 ) for vehicle wheels, the process comprising: - producing a sealing compound (10) comprising at least one first elastomeric component, at least one bonding resin, and a cross-linking agent; - building a green tyre; - moulding and vulcanising the green tyre for obtaining the self-sealing tyre (1) comprising a layer of sealing compound (10), wherein producing the sealing compound (10) comprises: - feeding to, and mixing in, a first mixing device (110) the first elastomeric component and the bonding resin for producing a precursor compound (30) of the sealing compound; - introducing the precursor compound (30) free of the cross-linking agent into a cask (90); - subsequently, extracting the precursor compound (30) from the cask (90); - continuously feeding the precursor compound (30) extracted from the cask (90) and the cross-linking agent to a second continuous mixing device (116) with a respective controlled feeding rate, wherein the second mixing device (116) mixes the precursor compound (30) and the cross-linking agent for obtaining the sealing compound (10). Proceso de producción de un neumático autosellante (1) para ruedas de vehículos, que comprende: - producir un compuesto de sellado (10) que comprende al menos un primer componente elastomérico, al menos una resina de unión y un agente de reticulación; - construir un neumático verde; - moldeo y vulcanización del neumático verde para la obtención del neumático autosellante (1) compuesto por una capa de compuesto de sellado (10), en el que la producción del compuesto de sellado (10) comprende: - alimentar y mezclar en un primer dispositivo de mezcla (110) el primer componente elastomérico y la resina de unión para producir un compuesto precursor (30) del compuesto de sellado; - introducir el compuesto precursor (30) libre del agente de reticulación en un barril (90); - posteriormente, extraer el compuesto precursor (30) del barril (90); - alimentar continuamente el compuesto precursor (30) extraído del barril (90) y el agente reticulante a un segundo dispositivo de mezcla continua (116) con una velocidad de alimentación controlada respectiva, en el que el segundo dispositivo de mezcla (116) mezcla el compuesto precursor (30) y el agente reticulante para obtener el compuesto de sellado (10).
