Summary:The present invention aims to provide a formulation based on medicinal plant extracts as a pulp therapeutic alternative in primary teeth, whose final presentation is a solution based on natural products, such as Mimosa tenuiflora (tepescohuite), Equisetum arvense (horsetail), Syzygium aromaticum (clove), Lippia graveolens (oregano), and Aloe vera (aloe). Said formulation presents antibacterial activity against oral bacteria that cause caries and pulp inflammation, such as Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus, presented as an alternative to the use of formocresol for its application in pulpotomies, presenting a use as a pulp tissue regeneration agent in this type of procedures. La invención provee una formulación basada en extractos de plantas medicinales como alternativa terapéutica pulpar en dientes primarios. La formulación cuya presentación final es una solución a base de productos naturales comprende: Mimosa tenuiflora (tepescohuite), Equisetum arvense (cola de caballo), Syzygium aromaticum (clavo), Lippia graveolens (orégano), y Aloe vera (sábila), en donde la formulación presenta actividad antibacteriana contra bacterias orales causantes de caries e inflamación pulpar tales como Streptococcus mutans y Streptococcus sobrinus, y se presenta como una alternativa al uso del formocresol para su aplicación en pulpotomías, presentándose un uso como agente de regeneración tisular pulpar en este tipo de procedimientos.
