Summary: | A composition including: (i) a ds RNA molecule of at least 18 contiguous nucleotides that are essentially identical or essentially complementary to a plant gene or a transcript of said plant gene; and (ii) a transfer agent that conditions a surface of a plant to permeation by the ds RNA molecule into cells of the plant; wherein permeation of the ds RNA molecule into cells of the plant causes a transient reduction in the expression of the gene and wherein the transient reduction in the expression of the gene causes a change in a yield-associated trait of the plant.
Una composición que incluye: (i) una molécula de dsARN de al menos 18 nucleótidos contiguos que son esencialmente idénticos o esencialmente complementarios a un gen vegetal o una transcripción de dicho gen vegetal; y (ii) un agente de transferencia que acondiciona una superficie de una planta para que la molécula de dsARN penetre en las células vegetales; en donde la penetración de la molécula de dsARN en las células vegetales provoca una reducción transitoria en la expresión del gen y en donde la reducción transitoria en la expresión del gen provoca un cambio en un rasgo asociado con el rendimiento de la planta. |
