Summary:The present invention relates to a portable device for detecting toxic gases in confined environments. Said device consists of a box with a sensor that detects vapors of organic substances, such as acetone, chloroform, methanol, ethanol, their mixtures, ammonia gases, and carbon dioxide flue gas. The sensing component is a sophisticated graphene carbon nanomaterial coated with a cross-linked polymer. Also, the device activates two alarms: an LED-type bulb and a vibrator when the sensor assembled inside the box meets a toxic atmosphere.
