Herein, it uses a type of coagulant for tailings treatment miners, obtaining results not previously reported. The present invention relates to a novel method for treating mining tailings with CN- concentrations of up to 600 ppm. After treatment, the mining industry can return quality water to nature and reduce the negative impact on the environment. La presente invención se refiere a un método y planta para tratamiento de relaves mineros, el cual comprende etapas en una secuencia u orden específico, para lo cual además se usa un tipo específico de coagulante, entre otras características que, en conjunto un tratamiento a relaves mineros que permite obtener resultados no reportados con anterioridad. Por lo tanto, esta invención se refiere a un método para el tratamiento de los relaves mineros con concentraciones de CN- de hasta 600 ppm. Tras el tratamiento la Industria minera puede devolver a la naturaleza agua de calidad y reducir el impacto negativo que genera el CN- en el medio ambiente.
