The present invention relates to an oral composition of Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) and its use for the prevention and treatment of the disease caused by the White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) that affects crustaceans, including white shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei). Said composition includes Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) and Sodium Alginate mixed in balanced crustacean feed, providing higher survival against infections with viral agents, such as WSSV in live shrimp. La presente invención se refiere a una composición oral de Nanopartículas de Plata (AgNPs) y su uso para la prevención y el tratamiento de la enfermedad causada por el Virus del Síndrome de la Mancha Blanca (WSSV) que afecta a crustáceos, entre los que se incluyen el camarón blanco (Litopenaeus vannamei). La composición de la presente invención incluye Nanopartículas de Plata (AgNPs) y Alginato de Sodio mezclado en alimento para crustáceo balanceado. Camarones vivos tratados con la presente composición presentan una mayor supervivencia ante infecciones con agentes virales, como lo es el WSSV.
