Summary:The present disclosure is related to dry gas seals and fluid free dry seal systems that comprise a special and novel configuration on at least one of their faces for critical applications in turbomachinery, such as steam turbines. In particular, the invention relates to dry gas seals that generally operate dry and non-contact, thereby avoiding overheating. The present invention describes a special configuration of at least one groove in at least one face of the seal that allows to obtain a higher performance of hydropneumatic pressure. La presente invención se refiere a sellos secos de gas y sistemas de sello seco libres de fluidos que incorporan una configuración especial y novedosa en al menos una de sus caras para aplicaciones críticas en turbomaquinaria, tales como turbinas de vapor. Particularmente, la invención se refiere a sellos secos de gas que generalmente funcionan en seco y sin contacto, evitando con ello los sobrecalentamientos. La presente invención describe una configuración especial de por lo menos una ranura en al menos una cara del sello que permite obtener un mayor rendimiento de presión hidroneumática.
