Summary:The present invention relates to the development of an IgM-type monoclonal antibody (mAb) directed to a-Gal present in the membrane of cells infected by Human Papillomavirus and the diagnostic technique using the fluorochrome labeling of protoporphyrin IX (PplX). Also, it relates to its use as a complementary method to existing ones with higher specificity and sensitivity for in situ and in vivo diagnosis and treatment of patients with HPV. La presente invención se refiere al desarrollo de un anticuerpo monoclonal (AcMo) tipo lgM dirigido al a-Gal presente en la membrana de células infectadas por el Virus del Papiloma Humanos y la técnica de diagnóstico mediante el marcaje con fluorocromo de protoporfirina IX (PplX). Asimismo su uso como un método complementario a los existentes con mayor especificidad y sensibilidad, para el diagnóstico in situ e in vivo y el tratamiento de pacientes con VPH.
