The plants, preferably soybean plants, comprise a combination of Cry1Ca, Cry1Ea, Cry2Aa, and Vip3Ab1 insecticidal proteins. Methods are described for using the plants to delay or prevent the development of resistance by insects. La presente invención incluye métodos y plantas para controlar plagas de lepidópteros, especialmente los insectos polilla de la soja (Pseudoplusia includens) y oruga de las leguminosas (Anticarsia gemmatalis). Las plantas, preferentemente plantas de soja, comprenden una combinación de proteínas insecticidas CrylCa, Cryl Ea, Cry2Aa y Vip3Abl.
