Summary:Example systems and methods for detecting an animal proximate a vehicle are described. In one implementation, a wearable device carried by an animal is activated when the wearable device is within a predetermined distance of a vehicle. The vehicle receives a signal from the wearable device and determines an approximate distance between the wearable device and the vehicle. An alert is generated to warn a driver that an animal is near the vehicle. The alert has an intensity level that corresponds to the approximate distance between the wearable device and the vehicle. Se describen sistemas y métodos a modo de ejemplo para detectar un animal próximo a un vehículo. En una implementación, un dispositivo portable por un animal se activa cuando el dispositivo portable está dentro de una distancia predeterminada de un vehículo. El vehículo recibe una señal proveniente del dispositivo portable y determina una distancia aproximada entre el dispositivo portable y el vehículo. Se genera una alerta para advertir a un conductor que un animal está cerca del vehículo. La alerta tiene un nivel de intensidad que corresponde a una distancia aproximada entre el dispositivo portable y el vehículo.
