The present invention relates to a passive safety device for vehicle occupants, inflatable collar type for retaining the neck of the vehicle users or when they are involved in sudden changes in acceleration (vehicle accidents). Esta invención se refiere a un dispositivo de seguridad pasiva para los ocupantes de los vehículos, tipo collarín inflable para la retención del cuello del o los usuarios del vehículo cuando se encuentran involucrados en cambios bruscos de aceleración (accidentes vehiculares). Dicho dispositivo es activado por el módulo de activación de las bolsas de aire por los sensores vehiculares de impacto. A la par de cinturones de seguridad, este dispositivo de seguridad, se coloca debajo del cuello de los usuarios, como su fuera un babero y se procede a conducir el auto sin absolutamente ninguna obstrucción al movimiento de la cabeza frontal, ni trasero ni de giro ni lateral. Al momento de una desaceleración súbita, del vehículo el dispositivo se inflará, accionándose de la misma manera que las bolsas tradicionales de aire y ese inflado limitará el movimiento frontal, trasero, lateral de la cabeza, protegiéndose las cervicales y a la vez, protegiendo a los usuarios del impacto que sus rostros recibirán por el accionamiento súbito e las bolsas de aire. El dispositivo para la protección de cervicales de esta invención comprende un collarín inflable adaptado en un collar para colocarse en el cuello del o los usuarios del vehículo automotor. El dispositivo comprende de una estructura base en donde tiene un sujetador de una capsula de gas comprimido. Se presenta una válvula que se acciona eléctricamente normalmente cerrada para liberar el gas comprimido de la fuente al dispositivo tipo collarín inflable. Se presenta una manguera de alta presión, para enviar el gas de la válvula al Dispositivo tipo collarín inflable. Éste dispositivo se activa cuando se activan las bolsas de aire e protección para ocupantes de los vehículos, ya que está diseñado para que la señal que envía la central de procesamiento que activa las bolsas de aire, tal cuando se presenta un accidente vehicular, una fuente de gas comprimido se conecta por medio de una válvula y una manguera que tiene conectores neumáticos al protector del cuello para inflarlo. Esto para evitarlos movimientos bruscos cuando se presenta un accidente vehicular.
