Summary:The present invention relates to the field of biodegradable biological elastomeric materials, more specifically, to terpene-lactone type copolymers synthesized by the high-temperature anionic polymerization method using alkyl lithium type initiators. The synthesis method used does not present the stage of de-polymerization characteristic of the lactones obtained via anionic mechanisms, thereby giving rise to the formation of thermoplastic elastomer type materials suitable for use as impact modifiers of styrenic resins. Esta invención se refiere al campo de los materiales elastoméricos biológicos - biodegradables y de una manera más precisa, a copolímeros del tipo terpeno - lactona sintetizados por el método de polimerización aniónica a alta temperatura utilizando iniciadores del tipo alquil litio. El método de síntesis utilizado no presenta la etapa de depolimerización característica de las lactonas obtenidas vía mecanismos aniónicos, dando lugar con ello a la formación de materiales del tipo elastómero termoplástico apropiados para ser utilizados como modificadores de impacto de resinas estirénicas.
