The composition is useful for the preparation of a medicine or a food supplement for the prophylaxis or treatment of motion sickness symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. La presente invención se refiere a una composición estable en forma de liquida o semisólida que comprende extracto seco de jengibre, polietilenglicol estearil éter, éter polioxil estearílico, propilenglicol éter, manteca vegetal, cera de abeja y aceite de soya, en donde dicha composición se incorpora dentro de una cápsula de gelatina blanda. La composición es útil para la preparación de un medicamento o suplemento alimenticio para la profilaxis o tratamiento de síntomas de la enfermedad del movimiento como náuseas y vómitos.
