Summary: | The present invention is directed to microfiltration and ultrafiltration membranes comprising a microporous material. The microporous material comprises: (a) a polyolefin matrix present in an amount of at least 2 percent by weight, (b) finely divided, particulate, substantially water-insoluble silica filler distributed throughout said matrix, said filler constituting from about 10 percent to about 90 percent by weight of said coated microporous material substrate, (c) at least 20 percent by volume of a network of interconnecting pores communicating throughout the coated microporous material, and (d) at least one coating composition applied to at least one surface of the membrane to adjust the surface energy of the membrane.
La presente invención se refiere a membranas de microfiltración y ultrafiltración que comprenden un material microporoso. El material microporoso comprende: (a) una matriz de poliolefina presente en una cantidad de al menos 2 por ciento en peso, (b) agente de relleno, de sílice, substancialmente insoluble en agua, en forma de partículas, finamente divido, distribuido a todo lo largo de la matriz, el agente de relleno que constituye de aproximadamente 10 por ciento a aproximadamente 90 por ciento en peso del substrato de material microporoso revestido, (c) al menos 20 por ciento en volumen de una red de poros de interconexión que se comunican a través del material microporoso revestido, y (d) al menos una composición de revestimiento aplicada a por lo menos una superficie de la membrana para ajustar la energía superficial de la membrana. |
