Summary:The invention relates to a preparation of a titanium oxide in the form of anatase doped with iron oxide nanoparticles with an application for the atmospheric bio-pollutants removal, due to it possess a high activity against pathogens located in the surface area of ferric oxide nonmetric particles. The method consists of a controlled co-precipitation to regulate the particle size and its subsequent oxidation to a ferric oxide by an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide. The antimicrobial activity on dry film coatings showed a broad spectrum of both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria and yeasts. Preparación de un óxido de titanio en forma de anatasa dopado con nanopartículas de óxido de fierro con aplicación para la eliminación de biocontaminantes atmosféricos presentando debido a el área superficial de las partículas nanométricas de óxido férrico una gran actividad contra este tipo de patógenos. El método para obtenerlo es por co-precipitación controlada para control del tamaño de partícula y su posterior oxidación a óxido férrico por un agente oxidante como lo es el peróxido de hidrógeno. La actividad antimicrobiana en película seca de recubrimientos mostró amplio espectro para bacterias tanto Gram negativas como Gram positivas y levaduras.
