Summary:The present disclosure is related to an efficient procedure to establish, protect and propagate the Allspice pepper (Pimenta dioica (L.) Merril), Totonacapan ecotype; The procedure was developed from the collection of plant sprouts in the field, a preservative solution, facilitating the transport of the same over long distances for up to 48 h, until arriving to tissue culture laboratories, where the tissues are established in an vitro medium capable of avoiding phenolization by more than 50%. The conservation and survival of the apices allows to have explants to inoculate in a liquid medium in a Up and Down Modular Temporary Immersion System (U & D) with a daily frequency of 6 cycles throughout the day (2 minutes of immersion) and (4 h of rest), facilitating the multiplication of the Totonacapan ecotype with a rate of (1:3) after 45 days.
