Summary:The present invention relates to an orally administrable pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of dry eye syndrome, comprising rebamipide or a prodrug thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active component. Said compound can treat dry eye syndrome through oral administration and is thus safe and convenient to use compared to conventional eye drops. Se divulga una composición farmacéutica oral para prevenir o tratar el síndrome del ojo seco, la cual comprende rebamipida o un profármaco de la misma, o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable de la misma, como ingrediente activo; los compuestos pueden tratar el síndrome del ojo seco por la vía oral, y así se pueden emplear con seguridad y de forma conveniente en comparación con las gotas oculares convencionales.
