Summary:Described is a hydrometallurgical process for treating polymetallic minerals and sulfured concentrates of copper and zinc, and byproducts of lead smelters and zinc plants, treated in an independent manner and/or their mixtures, which have relevant contents of lead, copper, zinc, iron, gold and silver, such as the matte-speiss mixture of lead, and copper cements resulting from the processes of purification of zinc electrolytic plants; the predominant species in this materials may be constituted by chalcopyrite, covellite, chalcocite, pyrite, sphalerite, arsenopyrite, enargite, metallic copper and copper and zinc cements. The process is useful for recovering the copper, zinc metals as basic salts of copper and zinc, which may be hydroxides, carboantes, hydroxysulfates or mixtures thereof; the production of arsenic residues; and the effective and efficient recovery of Pb, Au and Ag as a concentrate of lead sulphur and/or lead, Au and Ag sulfate. Un proceso hidrometalúrqico para el tratamiento de minerales polimetálicos y concentrados sulfurados de cobre y zinc, y subproductos de fundiciones de plomo y plantas de zinc, tratados de forma independiente y/o sus mezclas, las cuales tienen contenidos relevantes de plomo, cobre, zinc, fierro, oro y plata, como son la mezcla de matte-speiss de fundiciones de plomo, y cementos de cobre de los procesos de purificación de plantas electrolíticas de zinc; las especies predominantes en estos materiales pueden estar constituidas por calcopirita, covelita, calcocita, pirita, esfalerita, arsenopirita, enargita, cobre metálico y cementos de cobre y zinc. El proceso permite la recuperación de los metálicos cobre, zinc, cobro como sales básicas de cobre, y zinc, que pueden ser hidróxidos, carbonatos, hidroxisultatos o mezclas de las mismas; la producción de residuos arsenicales estables; y la recuperación efectiva y eficiente de Pb, Au y Ag como un concentrado de sulfuro de plomo y/o sulfato de plomo Au y Ag.
