Se describe un método y un sistema para eliminar las acreciones sólidas de un ánodo de cobre u horno de conservación que usan el montaje de lanza de chorro coherente dirigido hacia las acreciones sólidas en la porción inferior del horno anódico de cobre para fundir las acreciones sólidas durante un periodo de prolongado sin el daño al material refractario del horno cerca de un punto de impacto de la corriente.
