Summary:The method consists in performing the polymerization via free radicals of styrene and methyl methacrylate in the presence of high cis polybutadiene and using different initiators. Depending on the type of initiator, either monofunctional or bifunctional, an access to different morphologies of the rubber phase will be obtained, which eventually would modify the final performance of the styrene resins. El método consiste en llevar a cabo la polimerización vía radicales libres de estireno y metil metacrilato en presencia de polibutadieno alto cis y empleando diferentes iniciadores. Dependiendo del tipo de iniciador empleado, ya sea monofuncional o bifuncional se puede obtener un acceso a muy variadas morfologías de la fase de hule, las cuales eventualmente modificaran el desempeño final de las resinas estirénicas.
