Summary: | The present invention refers to a DEVICE FOR MEASURING LOW GAS FLOW for monitoring the flow of biogas generated in reactors for treating wastewater. The range of flows measured by the device is of from about 25 to about 30000 microliters per minute. This invention is characterized in that it has a couple of membrane for avoiding the solubility of the biogas in the displacing liquid and the evaporation of the same, the device does not require frequent calibrations. The long periods of operation of the device are one of the most remarkable advantages of the same. The device is characterized in that it has a displacing liquid dense enough for returning the membrane to its initial shape without extra accessories. Unlike previous inventions, the design of the present invention is compact and with substantial improvements in the operation thereof. The opportunity of the device of being scaled to larger dimensions turns the same into a versatile device. The device may be used for measuring t he production of hydrogen in an electrochemical cell of 200 ml of effective volume or in a reactor of up to 5 liters for generating biogas, mainly methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen without losing product by solubility or permeability, with precision and repeatability.
Esta invención se refiere a un DISPOSITIVO DE MEDICIÓN DE BAJOS FLUJOS DE GAS, para monitorear el flujo de biogás generado en reactores de tratamiento de aguas residuales. El rango de flujos que el dispositivo mide es 25 a 30000 microlitros por minuto. Esta invención se caracteriza por tener un par de membranas para evitar la solubilidad del biogás en el líquido desplazable y la evaporación del mismo líquido, haciendo que el dispositivo no tenga que calibrarse frecuentemente. Los largos periodos de tiempo de funcionamiento del dispositivo es una de sus mejores características. El dispositivo se caracteriza por poseer un líquido desplazable suficientemente denso como para regresar la membrana a su forma inicial sin necesidad de accesorios extras. En comparación con inventos desarrollados anteriormente su diseño es compacto y con mejoras significativas en su funcionamiento. La oportunidad que ofrece el diseño del dispositivo de escalarse a tamaños mayores hace evidente su versatilidad. El dispositivo puede usarse para medir la producción de hidrógeno en una celda electroquímica de 200ml de volumen efectivo o en un reactor de hasta 5 litros generador de biogás, principalmente metano, dióxido de carbono e hidrogeno sin perder producto por solubilidad o permeabilidad, con precisión y repetitividad. |
