Summary:The present invention relates to AC electrical machines with a rotary flux-switching member, a stationary armature, and a magnet. The object of the present invention is to provide a bicycle generator of a simplified structure, with reduced manufacture expenses and improved reliability. The bicycle generator according to the present invention (Fig.1) comprises a permanent magnet 1 and an armature with a stationary stacked magnet core, around which a ring winding 2 is wound, the generator having an additional permanent magnet 3 and a rotary flux-switching member 4 with axially directed teeth 5 and 6 located on the both sides thereof with a pitch tau. The teeth 5 located on one side of the flux-switching member 4 are shifted relative to the teeth 6 located on its other side at tau/2. The armature magnet core comprises two packages 7, 8 having a length l, their neighbouring end-faces 9, 10, 11, 12 being relatively shifted at tau/2. The packages 7 and 8 of the magnetic flux path of the armature transversely surround the magnetic flux path of the flux-switching member 4. The end-faces 9 and 10 of the packages 7 and 8 are located opposite to the teeth 5, and the end-faces 11 and 12 are located opposite to the teeth 6. The end-faces 9, 10, 11 and 12 are spaced from the corresponding teeth 5 and 6 at an air-gap clearance delta. The permanent magnets 1 and 3 are placed between the packages 7 and 8 at the both sides of the ring winding 2 so that the N-poles of the magnets 1 and 3 are connected to the package 7 and the S-poles thereof are connected with the package 8. The packages 7 and 8 and winding 2 are intended to be attached to the bicycle frame, while the flux-switching member 4 is intended to be installed on a rotary wheel hub of the bicycle.
